Epitalon

An alternate spelling of Epithalon (also spelled Epithalone). A synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from Epithalamin, a bovine pineal gland extract, developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Research in animal models and some human studies has investigated effects on telomere elongation, antioxidant enzyme activity, circadian rhythm normalization, and longevity biomarkers. Often used interchangeably with "Epithalon."
