A tetrapeptide fragment of IGF-1 corresponding to positions 2–4 of the mature protein (with an additional N-terminal lysine). Studied for its anti-inflammatory effects in intestinal epithelial cells, with research suggesting downregulation of NF-κB signaling and IL-8 expression. Investigated as a potential therapeutic for inflammatory bowel disease.
