Subcutaneous Injection

Full name: SC / SQ injection

Injection into the subcutaneous tissue layer between the skin dermis and the underlying muscle fascia, using a short (typically 4–6 mm) insulin-type needle at a 45–90° angle. The most common route for research peptide administration. Provides relatively slow, sustained absorption compared to IM injection. Typical injection sites include the abdomen, outer thigh, and deltoid fatty tissue.
