PEG-MGF

Full name: Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor

A chemically modified form of MGF (Mechano Growth Factor, a splice variant of IGF-1) in which polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains are attached to the peptide to extend its biological half-life from approximately 5–7 minutes to 24–72 hours. PEGylation reduces enzymatic degradation and renal clearance. Research in animals suggests PEG-MGF distributes systemically rather than acting locally like unmodified MGF, potentially activating satellite cells throughout muscle tissue for post-exercise repair and growth signaling.
