The study of how the body processes a drug, encompassing Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME). The "what the body does to the drug." Key PK parameters for peptides include half-life (t½), peak concentration (Cmax), time to peak (Tmax), area under the curve (AUC), and volume of distribution (Vd). Peptide PK is fundamentally different from small molecules due to enzymatic degradation pathways.
