Secretagogue
A substance that stimulates the secretion of another substance. In peptide research, the term is most commonly used to describe growth hormone secretagogues (GHSs), which stimulate pituitary secretion of growth hormone. The term derives from Latin secretio (separation) + Greek -agogos (leading). All GHRP peptides and MK-677 are GH secretagogues.
