Longevity Cycle (Epithalon)

Short, intensive epithalon courses twice yearly for telomere maintenance and pineal-axis support.

Longevity & cellular health Beginner Cycle: 10 days every 6 months

Overview

Epithalon (epitalon) is a tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) studied extensively in Russian geriatric and age-related disease trials. It is proposed to activate telomerase and improve pineal melatonin rhythm. Protocols are intentionally short and infrequent — long courses have no documented additional benefit.

Dose schedule

Phase Dose & route Notes
Course 1 — 10 days 10 mg SC daily, ideally pre-bed to align with melatonin pulse. Rotate injection sites. SC in abdomen or thigh.
Months 1–6 No peptides. Rest period.
Course 2 — 10 days Repeat 10 mg SC daily. Second course of the year.

Bloodwork cadence

Timing Panel
Baseline CBC, CMP, lipid panel, HbA1c, hs-CRP, DHEA-S if tracking
Pre each cycle CBC + CMP minimum
Annually Full panel + optional biological-age markers if interested

Expected timeline

Day 1–3
No noticeable effects. Primary readouts are long-term.
Day 10
End of course. Some report improved sleep quality for 2–4 weeks after.
Months
Objective markers (if tracked) measured on annual bloodwork.

Red flags — stop and reassess

  • Any new symptoms during the 10-day course warrant stopping.
  • Not for use during active cancer treatment.

Contraindications

  • Active cancer.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Hormone-sensitive conditions — discuss with prescriber.
Educational use only. This protocol summarises published trial schedules, FDA labelling, and widely-referenced research-community practice. Doses, cycle lengths, and bloodwork recommendations should be reviewed with a qualified prescriber before use in any human. Several peptides discussed are not approved for human administration in most jurisdictions.
